Carlotta Basso
Graduated in 2024 from the École Internationale de Mime Corporel Dramatique in Paris, where she specialized in corporeal mime following Étienne Decroux’s technique; before that, she strengthened her foundations in Turin at Philip Radice’s Atelier Teatro Fisico, attending the mime and pantomime course.
In recent years, she has refined her training by taking part in several workshops, including “Le théâtre Burlesque” with Jean-Claude Cotillard and “Le mime” with Benoît Turjman.
In 2024, through her collaboration with Luis Fernando Nicolosi, whom she met at the school, she will create the Hoya Collective; they will take part in several festivals, presenting their creation in preview at Paris’s “Théâtre Victor Hugo” for the “La Nuit du Geste” evening.
Étienne Decroux’s technique remains the foundational pillar of her artistic practice, where the quality of movement and the intention behind every gesture are central to her ongoing expressive research in corporeal mime.
